Eudora and Vista compatibility

The Eudora Team has tested Eudora with Vista on both the 32 and 64 bit operating systems. Currently the only issue that has been found relates to the Eudora Help file. See below for details:

Issue:

I am running Windows Vista and when I click on Help\Topics, in Eudora, I get a "Failed to launch help" error message.

(Note: Any program that was created for previous versions of Windows, and used this type of Microsoft help file will have this issue.)

Solution:

With the release of Windows Vista, Windows is no longer using the WinHelp engine as per previous versions of Windows. Please refer to Microsoft's knowledge base article:

Please note at this time Microsoft does not have the WinHelp engine (winhlp32.exe) available for download.
