Alias Address and Alternate Address mailbox properties

ISSUE:

The Alias Address and Alternate Address mailbox properties are often incorrectly used

SOLUTION:

Alias Address - This field is used by Eudora Web Client as the Reply-To: address when sending mail. It is not used to set-up an alias for a mailbox.

Alternate Address - This field is displayed as a property in the LDAP properties as a different email address for the user. This address is not used for any delivery or forwarding of mail.

Server aliases can be configured by clicking on Server in the left hand window of the MailSite Windows Console, the double-click on Aliases in the right hand window
