Something Seems to be Covering the Ad (Windows) Document ID: 2458HQISSUE: While running Eudora in Sponsored Mode, I am receiving the pop-up dialogue window which tells me Something seems to be covering the Ad (Windows). SOLUTION: Ideally you have access to the Ad Window and can easily move it back into a position within the Eudora application window. This will solve the warning pop-up. If you cannot perform the above operation, there are two ways in which you can reset Eudora to its default Window settings. 1) Eudora 4.3.x and later allows you to reset your settings while retaining All of your data and account information. To reset your settings, hold down the SHIFT and CTRL keys. With your mouse, Click on TOOLS then select OPTIONS (all while holding down Shift and Ctrl). You should see this dialog box: Eudora is about to strip out all but the most vital settings from your Eudora.ini file and exit ... Release the Shift and Ctrl keys and click on Yes. (Settings that will not be changed) Login name and the name of your POP server Your SMTP host Your return address Your real name Your ACAP server 2) If the above procedure does not work, You will need to Write Down your registration Information and Account Settings before you do this step. Perform a search on your machine for the Eudora.ini file and rename it to Eudora.old (Eudora must be completely closed before you start) make sure that you have your POP and SMTP server info (Tools/Options/Getting Started) as well as your PASSWORD and REGISTRATION information (First, Last, and registration # exactly as it appears under Help/Payment and Registration) written down as it will be required upon completion. Restart Eudora and enter the information. Keywords: EPWIN,AD,COVERING,SOMETHING,WARNING
