I installed Eudora on OS X - Where is my mail?

Document ID: 2407HQ

ISSUE:

I installed Eudora on MAC OS X over my previous version of Eudora. All of my mail and mailboxes have disappeared.

SOLUTION:

Eudora for OS X creates a folder for your mail called "Eudora Folder" it is located in the "Documents" folder within your HOME folder. If you have a previous version of Eudora installed, the Eudora OS X installer will make every effort to find the folder where you kept your mail and move it to the new location.

If you start Eudora for OS X and your mail isn't available to you, don't panic! Follow these steps:

1. Quit Eudora for OS X

2. Find your old Eudora Folder (searching for a file called "Eudora Settings" is a good way to do this).

3. Drag the Eudora Folder into the Documents folder within your HOME folder

4. Restart Eudora - your mail should be there.
