Eudora Installer wants a Password (Windows) Document ID: 2357HQIssue: I just downloaded the Eudora installer, but can't install. It keeps asking me for a password before I can install. Solution: The Eudora installer does not have a password. What is happening is that either Netscape SmartDownloader or Microsoft Updater are installed on your computer and are mistaking the Eudora updater as one of their products that requires a password to install. One solution is to boot your computer in Windows Safe Mode, then run the installer in Safe Mode.
The other solution is to uninstall SmartDownload or the Microsoft updater, then run the Eudora installer. KEYWORDS: EPWIN, PASSWORD, INSTALLER, DOWNLOAD, INSTALL
