Default Mail Program in Internet Explorer for Macintosh

Document ID: 1886HQ

How can I send mail with Eudora from Internet Explorer?

Solution (OS 8.5 and higher):

Go to your Control Panels: Internet. Click on the "E-mail" tab. Select Eudora from the drop down menu "Default E-Mail Application." Close the Control Panel.

Solution (OS 8.1 and earlier):

Search on your computer for the utility "Internet Config". Launch it and click on the "Helpers" button. Find the helper "mailto" - highlight it and click "Change". If it isn't there, click the "Add" button and name it "mailto" (no quotes). Choose Eudora Pro. Close Internet Config.

From now on, when you click a mailto: link on a web page in Internet Explorer, Eudora will come up with the pre-addressed message ready.
