Sending Mail from Netscape Document ID: 1860HQIssue: How do I send mail through Eudora when I click on a mail link in Netscape? Solution: You can use Eudora as the mail-sending program for Netscape. When you click on a mailto link on a web page, Eudora will be used to send the message. With Eudora 3.x and higher, you can set this up under the Tools: Options: Miscellaneous screen. There is an option there called "Intercept Netscape Mailto URLs". If you turn this option on, Netscape will bring up Eudora when you click on a mail link on a web page and open a new mail message, already addressed. Note that this will only work if Eudora is running in the background - minimized is OK. With Eudora 4.3, the option is no longer available under Miscellaneous because Eudora will be used for mailto links in Netscape if Eudora is set to be the default mail program. Eudora will change the Netscape preferences file to be the mail program used (instead of the old method of using DDE to interface with Netscape). KEYWORDS: EPWIN, NETSCAPE, MAILTO.
