Auto Dial in Eudora (Windows)

Document ID: 1477HQ

Issue:

I want Eudora to automatically dial and establish my modem connection when I try to send or check for mail.

Solution:

If you're using Eudora 4.3 or higher, follow these steps-

In Eudora, go to Tools: Options: Internet Dial up. Check the box next to "Have Eudora connect using Dial-Up Networking". Next, make sure that you've chosen the proper Windows dialer next to "Entry:".

If you check "Hang up after receiving and sending", Eudora will automatically disconnect the internet connection after it checks and sends mail.

If you check "Close connection on exit", Eudora will disconnect the internet connection when you quit Eudora.
