filter crash when selecting an action Document ID: 1452HQProblem: If you get an error like this while in the filter dialog box after clicking on action: "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down." "If the problem persists, contact the program vendor." If you click on "details" button, you will see the error, "EUDORA caused an invalid page fault in module EUDORA.EXE". With another message that follows: "EUDORA caused an invalid page fault in module MFC42.DLL." Solution: From the filter dialog box, if you did not click on "new" first, before selecting an action, you will get an error; To create a filter, you must click "new" then set up the criteria, and last, the action. You can also select a message from your mailbox, go to the special menu, select "Make Filter", and Eudora will automatically set up a basic filter for you. This problem applies to versions, 4.0, 4.0.1, and 4.0.2. This issue was resolved in Eudora 4.1 and higher. Go to http://www.eudora.com/email/upgrade and make sure you're using the current version.
