Attachments don't open when clicking on attachment icon

Eudora does not open attachments, however, it does send and receive them. The attachment icon that gets displayed in the message is a shortcut to the actual file that resides in your attach folder. When you click on the icon, Windows should open the right application associated with that type of file. Windows will look at the file extension to figure out which application is the appropriate one to open files of this type. You must have the appropriate program to open such a file. If Windows has registered this file type incorrectly, you may have to open the appropriate application and select file/open browse to that file to open it.
