Default Web Browser (Windows)

Document ID: 1317HQ

ISSUE:

How do I set my default web browser in Eudora?

OR

I double click on a URL in Eudora and it doesn't open with the correct web browser or it opens an error message or it doesn't do anything.

SOLUTION:

Eudora uses the default web browser in Windows to open URLs. To determine what your default web browser is, do the following-

      Get connected to the Internet.

        Go to Start: Run:

          Type http://www.eudora.com

            Click OK

This will force Windows to open the URL http://www.eudora.com in the default web browser. If the browser that Windows brings up is not the web browser you want Eudora using, then re-install your preferred web browser. After you re-install it, launch it and it will ask you if you want to make it your default web browser. Say YES.

If Windows brings up the URL correctly but Eudora does not, then do the following-

      Launch Eudora

Hold down the keys CTRL and SHIFT

Keeping those keys held down, go to Tools: Options

It will prompt you to reset your Eudora Settings - say YES

Restart Eudora and double click on a URL
