Installing Eudora over an older version (Mac)

How do I install Eudora over an older version of Eudora (Macintosh)

Solution:

When you install Eudora over a previous version of Eudora (OS 7.6 to 9.2.2), Eudora will ask you where you want to install it. Go ahead and install on top of your existing "Eudora Application Folder." By default, Eudora will keep all your stored mail, settings, and address books. Launch Eudora, then all the stored mail, settings, and address books will show up in your new Eudora.

When you install Eudora over a previous version of Eudora (OS 10 and above), Eudora will ask you where you want to install it. Go ahead and install on top of your existing Eudora Application. By default, Eudora will keep all your stored mail, settings, and address books. Launch Eudora, then all the stored mail, settings, and address books will show up in your new Eudora.

NOTE: There is a "Eudora Folder" that is usually found in the "System Folder" or "Documents" folder (OS X is default in Users/username/documents). This folder stores all your mail, settings, and address books. DO NOT DELETE THIS FOLDER.
