Foreign Language Dictionaries (Macintosh) Document ID: 1259HQISSUE: Where do I get the German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese versions of Eudora, and/or spell checkers in those languages? SOLUTION (version 4.2 or higher): The following foreign language dictionaries are available for Eudora for Macintosh version 4.2 or higher:
Download and unstuff the dictionary of your choice. Within the archive, you will find (language name)-common and (language name)-complete. Move these two files into the Spelling Dictionaries folder within the Eudora Stuff folder in the Eudora folder (where the application resides). NOTE: If you have more than one dictionary installed (i.e., American and French) Eudora will use both dictionaries. You can not "switch" between dictionaries unless you quit Eudora and remove the unwanted dictionary files and restart Eudora. SOLUTION (previous versions): If you're using a previous version of Eudora, we do not have any foreign language dictionaries as previous versions used "Spellswell" as the spell checker. Any non-English dictionaries for Spellswell would be obtained from Working Software. ---- KEYWORDS: ALLCARDS, EPMAC, FINNISH, FOREIGN, FRENCH, ITALIAN, GERMAN, SPANISH, SWEDISH, PORTUGUESE, DUTCH, DICTIONARY, INTERNATIONAL, SPELL, SPELLCHECK
