Sound plays back poorly and skips using Quick Time Document ID: 1249HQI'm using QuickTime to play the .qcp files (either directly in Eudora 4.0 or with any other QuickTime compatible application), but the sound plays back poorly and skips. What can I do to improve the playback quality? The PureVoice algorithm requires extensive CPU calculations. Standard 68020 and 68030 machines are simply not fast enough to keep up. Use MoviePlayer to export the sound to another format (uncompressed or IMA 4:1 for example). The resulting file can be played realtime. -- KEYWORDS: ALLCARDS, PVOICE, QUICK TIME, SKIPS, SOUND, POOR, PLAYBACK
